Nugget Point
|
Nugget Point is a pinnacle of rock with a beautiful light house atop and a viewing deck looking on to the sea. Great drive through Kaka Point and lovely walk to the light house. Also on the way is Roaring Bay and in the late afternoon at certain times of the year you can view penguins coming in to nest.

I would recommend:
- going over to Taieri Mouth from Waihola over the hill (it is a tar sealed road)
- the tunnel in the Manuka Gorge to see the glow worms,
- at Milburn the whale fossel look out
- and definately going over to the town of Lawrence & Gabriels Gully there are a lot of things to see in Lawrence & some great cafes.
